Thanks a lot PONYBOY !!! Yes,you are right.I really like that '49 Chevy and the other Garcia sleds too ! I meanwhile did get in contact with Joseph Garcia.Very nice guy.I also asked him about the tires on the Chevy because they simply have THE look and I'd like to have such tires for my car too.He said the tires are 6.70 Firestones and therefore must have a whitewall of 3 1/4".Honestly,they don't look like Firestones to me.Can't see the typical ribs and Firestone script/logo etc.I think the tire is a 6.70 BFGoodrich with a 3 5/8" whitewall but don't want to argue what Mr. Garcia said.Does anybody know for "sure" ? Maybe Jesus Valencia meanwhile changed the tires...

And thanks for the other pics too ! Cool cars !!!

Besides the tires, I don't think the hubcaps on that car are real Caddy Sombreros either. Not that it matters...That car is gorgeous anyway. I would like to see it painted in glossy stuff soon to complete the tribute to early Barris/Cerny/Valley kustom styling...

Hey Chopt ! I also think the caps are no Caddy caps. The Sombreros do cover the rim completely. The hubcap on the Chevy looks very nice as I like to see a bit of the painted rim.Still wanted to ask Joseph Garcia what car they came off.Maybe they are Pontiac with Caddy logos ? And yes,I'd like to see the Chevy painted glossy too !

PONYBOY,sorry for hijacking !
